Can my agency call the carrier service center directly?
No*, Our carriers do not recognize our base level agencies since you are not directly contracted with them. There is also a legal liability risk for the carrier if they deal with our members rather than with the insured or with Appalachian Underwriters. *Note: the only exception to this rule is for
Platinum Partnership
agencies, as they have a direct relationship with a carrier and are free to work with them as needed.
